🚗 For Volkswagen VW & AUDI ECUs (PN 7.1, 7.1.1, or 7.5 ONLY)
📌 Description:
This listing is only for the immobilizer delete (IMMO OFF) EEPROM programming service for your ECU that you mail to us!
📖 What is an Immobilizer System?
The immobilizer is built into the instrument cluster, working by reading a secret code from your key via an antenna around the ignition.
- If accepted: The immobilizer allows the ECU to enable engine functions (fuel/spark control).
- If not accepted: The immobilizer lamp flashes, and the ECU prevents the engine from running.
With this service, we reprogram the ECU to permanently enable engine run functions without needing the immobilizer’s approval.
🔍 How to Know If Your Immobilizer is the Issue:
✔ Immobilizer lamp flashes when the key is turned to the "ON" position.
✔ Fault codes: P1570 or 17978 appear in the ECU.
✔ "Engine start blocked by immobilizer" shows in live data or DTC descriptions.
⚠️ Important Notes & Warnings:
- This service won’t resolve non-immobilizer-related no-start issues.
- The immobilizer lamp in the dash will still flash (it’s not controlled by the ECU).
- If the car doesn’t crank at all, it’s NOT an immobilizer problem.
- If the car runs briefly (1–2 minutes) then stalls, this isn’t an immobilizer issue.
- If the engine runs rough or misses and stalls, the problem is elsewhere.
- If the immobilizer lamp cuts out but the engine won’t run, you likely have other issues.
🔑 Key Immobilizer Functions in these ECUs:
- Immobilizer checks for a matching key only when the key is first turned ON.
- If the key is accepted: The engine will start.
- If the key is not accepted: The engine will crank but won’t run for more than a second.

Note: We recommend against oversized boxes or overnight services?it is never ideal to overnight a module that may be non-repairable.

We perform an initial test for the symptoms described. If issues are found, we proceed immediately with repairs. Once fixed, we apply a new conformal coating to the PCB and re-seal the case with professional-grade silicone adhesive.
4. IMPORTANT: CHECK YOUR VEHICLE
Our repair fixes the damage to your module, but you MUST identify and repair what caused the original failure (shorted wires, bad sensors, moisture entry) before re-installing or your module may be damaged again.
5. RETURN & INSTALLATION
We handle the return shipping via USPS. After the sealant cures, your module is packed securely and shipped back. Unless noted, there is no programming required. It will be Plug and Play.
Frequently Asked Questions:
WHAT IF MY MODULE IS NOT REPAIRABLE?
If your unit has sustained "un-repairable" damage (heavy liquid or severe burn damage), we can usually either Issue a full Refund or Provide a replacement unit (additional part cost required).
WHAT IF MY MODULE PASSES TESTING AND IS NOT AT FAULT?
If your unit tests good with no faults found, we can either perform the repair anyway to rule out intermittent issues, or issue a refund minus our bench fee. This covers our professional bench testing time and return shipping.
DO YOU REPAIR MODULES PREVIOUSLY WORKED ON?
Yes! If your module has a failed DIY attempt or was worked on by another shop, we may still be able to fix it. Note that "repairing a repair" often requires extra bench time to correct poor soldering, but we specialize in these complex recoveries.
IS THERE A WARRANTY ON THE REPAIR?
Yes! We provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our workmanship and all replaced components for as long as you own the vehicle. External factors like water damage or vehicle-side wiring shorts are not covered.
WILL MY PROGRAMMING BE AFFECTED?
Since most repairs are harware based typically NO programming data is disturbed. Things like VIN, Key Coding, Mileage, are stored in the software bits. However since we work with both aftermarket and oem methods, in the cases where software work is needed for the repairs, we typically can reprogram your unit so it will still be Plug-and-Play.
DO YOU USE QUALITY COMPONENTS?
Absolutely. We utilize authentic high-grade components from trusted distributors. We also use premium conformal coating and sealants that meet or exceed original factory standards.
